As data breaches and online security issues become more prevalent over time, Internet users have begun to look for additional ways to protect their privacy.
To do this, many users have turned to the private browsing mode of their favorite browser. For those who do not know, private browsing mode usually hides your browsing history and does not save cookies or data from your website. The feature is available on most popular browsers, including Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera.
Unfortunately, while desktop users can simply switch their browser's browsing mode to hide their browsing activity on the Internet, mobile users often rely on dedicated apps to display their favorite websites. Most of these applications, such as YouTube, do not come with their own easily accessible private browsing features.
There is good news for mobile YouTube fans now. According to Android Police (AP), the company is currently testing an Incognito mode for the Android application of YouTube.
AP claims that YouTube's private browsing mode will hide your subscriptions and your "activity". The feature will be accessible through the YouTube mobile account menu. In the menu, users will find a simple option "Enable Incognito Mode".
To be clear, this feature is not yet available for everyone. Google seems to test it randomly, and strictly among Android users at the moment. However, we will update this article if Google makes an official announcement regarding the future availability of the feature.
