Something to Hope: Extra options are rarely a bad thing, especially in the material space. Whether or not these chips have a solid value will, however, depend on certain unknown factors, including prices and amplification clocks.

AMD launched its second-generation Ryzen lineup in mid-April with a four-chip processor consisting of two chips from the Ryzen 5 series - the Ryzen 5 2600 and 2600X - and a pair of Ryzen 7 processors - the Ryzen 7 2700 and 2700X

Now it seems that AMD is preparing to grow his family tree.

The Tech Report team recently discovered a new list of CPU support for the ASRock AB350M Pro4 motherboard. There are four new AMD processors including the Ryzen 3 2300X with a base clock of 3.5GHz, 2MB cache and TDP 65W and the Ryzen 5 2500X with 2MB cache, a TDP 65W and a base clock of 3.6GHz.

TTR assumes that these parts will probably be quad-core based on their L2 cache size.

There are also two energy saving models listed, the Ryzen 5 2600E with a 45W TDP, 3MB cache and a 3.1GHz base clock as well as a Ryzen 7 2700E at 2.8GHz with 4MB cache and a 2.8GHz basic clock. Again, based on the L2 cache, it will likely be six-core and eight-core components, respectively.

Missing the equation is the peak clock speed of these parts. Pricing and availability are also unknown, but with Computex just neck and neck, AMD is ready to share more information.
