Snap in November has rolled out a drastically redesigned version of its popular Snapchat messaging app. As is often the case when something familiar changes, there has been a little recoil on the part of the user. It usually dies after a few months, but in this case it did not happen.

The redesign hit a nerve with a lot of users. In fact, more than 1.2 million people have signed a petition asking the company to cancel the drastic changes it's introduced at the end of last year and it seems that society has understood the message.

Snap is currently rolling out an update for iOS users with some pretty significant changes. For starters, Snaps and Cats are displayed again in chronological order. In addition, the friend stories have returned to the right side of the application and there is now a separate subscription feed for the most popular publishers and creators.

Snap's CEO, Evan Spiegel, mentioned in the recent publication of the company's results that changes would occur, although he hinted that it was more of a problem. An optimization of the overhaul that a cancellation.

As mentioned earlier, the update is being rolled out for iOS users. No word yet on when Android users will get the tweaked layout.
