The key to a successful collaborative economy platform is the ability for users to provide feedback on their service. In the case of Uber, this means letting the riders evaluate their trip and give their opinion after each ride. According to Uber, however, if you have any comments to share, you should not always wait to share them.
As such, the ride-hailing platform introduces the ability to evaluate, supplement, share feedback and tip during your ride. But is it really a good idea?
Arguments could be made in both directions for the return in transit. On the one hand, of course, if something goes wrong, you'll want to report it as soon as possible while the facts are still fresh in your mind. If you wait after the trip, you may not have the time to leave appropriate feedback and instead you will rush the entire process and make an unjustified review (good or bad).
Conversely, leaving a feedback in the heat of the moment could also be detrimental. What happens if you leave a scathing note and a few minutes later, your driver succeeds in a heroic action or gets in his way with a gesture of random kindness? And if it was just a big misunderstanding?
Uber says the positive feedback from the pilots will be used to recognize the best drivers and encourage the maintenance of exceptional service under a new program scheduled for launch next month. Critical comments, Uber notes, will be used to improve his offer.
