The high-end camera maker Red revealed last summer that he was working on his first smartphone. The Hydrogen One "holographic machine" is touted as the world's first holographic phone with a 4-View (essentially 3D without glasses). It's a gadget that we've already eaten and that has never failed to gain traction but maybe this time around, things might be different?
Given his pedigree, Red certainly has wow's optical expertise but without seeing the technology in person, it's hard to know for sure if it's worth getting up. We will know it soon.
Nevertheless, if you are sold on the hype and you have not received your pre-order before the deadline, you will be happy to learn that the country's two largest wireless service providers - Verizon and AT & T - will both be carrying Hydrogen One.
AT & T said in its press release that the device would be available later this summer with Verizon not committing to a window of "later this year." None of the equipment commented on prices. order for a limited time starting from $ 1,295 for the aluminum version and $ 1,595 for a titanium example.
AT & T will offer consumers the first public preview of the phone at the AT & T Shape event from June 2nd to 3rd at Warner Bros Studios in Los Angeles. You can register for the event on the AT & T Web site.
