FreeFixer works by analyzing a large number of locations where unwanted software has a known record of appearing or outputting traces. Scan locations include programs running on your computer, programs that start when you restart your computer, browser plug-ins, home page settings, and more.
FreeFixer does not know what is undesirable, so it shows the result of the scan and it's up to you to decide if a file should be deleted and if some settings need to be restored to their value by default. Please pay attention! If you delete a legitimate file, you risk damaging your computer. To help you determine if something needs to be removed, you can find more information on the FreeFixer website for each item in the result of the scan. For example, you can see what other users have chosen to do in the same situation. You can also save the log file of your test result and consult the volunteers in one of the FreeFixer support forums.
