FreeRip is a free Windows application that allows you to record audio CD tracks into Wav, MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis or FLAC audio files. FreeRIP is also an audio file converter because it can convert audio files from one named format to another.

FreeRIP is a CD ripper, this means that it can record digital audio tracks directly from an audio CD to files on your hard drive (this process is known as "ripping"). You can record tracks as CD-quality WAV files or encode them in lossy (MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WMA) or Lossless (FLAC) audio format.

FreeRIP version 3 supports extended labeling and ID3 v2 standard. It also provides access to the FreeRIP Database CD Database, a collaborative Open Source CD repository. It also offers backward compatibility with the well-known freedb CD database.

FreeRIP allows you to convert audio files from one format to another: its built-in audio converter helps you convert as many files as you want between the most famous audio formats.

It also includes a pop-up search button to help you search for information, images, videos, and lyrics on the selected track.

FreeRIP is simple and easy to use and it is distributed free of charge, free to download and use, but if you want to support the FreeRIP project, your registration is welcome!

Now includes the optional search bar.

What's New:

  • Solution: Now FreeRIP refreshes the list of files at the end of the file in converter / labeller mode (speeds up the window)

  • Fix: FreeRIP no longer sets the output file path to null generating output file creation errors

  • Added: option to open the output folder on the end of rip

  • Updated Russian language file
