Windows Update April 10, 2018 from Microsoft that began to be released to the general public on April 30, but has since been shut down for some users.
As noted in a recent Microsoft Answers article, systems with some Intel-branded SSDs may enter a UEFI screen reboot or crash repeatedly when upgrading to Windows April 10 2018. Microsoft warned of a known incompatibility issue that can cause stability and performance issues.
Unfortunately, there is no workaround for the problem and Microsoft has not specified exactly which model drives are impacted. As such, Microsoft is blocking some Intel SSDs to install the April 2018 update.
If you think you are concerned about the problem, Microsoft advises to return to Windows 10 version 1709 and wait for an official resolution before reinstalling the update. This can be done by pressing F8 during the boot process and restoring to an earlier version of the OS.
No help date has been provided although Microsoft claims to work on a patch that it hopes to deploy in a "near future" patch.
